Promises, promises

Okay, now it is done. Despite thinking I was done on Sunday, watching the film back again on Monday and then Tuesday both threw up bit and pieces I felt compelled to change. Now though, the final cut is locked. It's come in slightly shorter than Sunday's cut (by a matter of seconds), but has slightly more finesse than that version.

Tonight I hope to cobble together a basic DVD for the screenings. Then I'll watch it on a TV screen and realise that it's too bright or the balance of the sound has gone out of whack. But I'll try very hard not to go back and change things as a result.

Of course, I can't guarantee that the final DVD version won't have a few more tweaks, but that's going to be a project in itself; recording commentaries, gathering together the production stills, cutting a new trailer, throwing in any behind the scenes moments I can find. At least by then life should bear a greater semblance to normality and this blog won't be dominated by the tedious repetition of the claim that the film is almost done.
